Container Transport Planner (2 shifts)

Function

For the Container Transport Planner vacancy, you will be responsible for the following range of duties:

• Together with your fellow planner, you will be responsible for planning container transport across the Benelux region and northern France
• You will be responsible for monitoring journeys for customers and drivers and for handling the transport documentation
• When changes arise, you can quickly adapt to find an efficient solution
• You’ll be working a rotating weekly rota: Week 1 from 5.00 am to 1.00 pm and Week 2 from 1.00 pm to 9.00 pm

Profile

For the vacancy for a Container Transport Planner, you should recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have had your first positive experience as a Transport Planner, preferably in the container sector
• You’re good at keeping a clear head in stressful situations
• You are willing to work in two shifts
• You work well with a direct colleague and have strong communication skills
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English; knowledge of French would be an advantage

Our client is a family-run business in the transport sector which currently has 75 of its own drivers on the road and operates mainly in the container and tanker transport sectors.
