Claims Manager

Function

As a Claims Manager, you manage claims from start to finish. You investigate the situation, liaise with all parties involved and always seek a fair and efficient solution. Thanks to your expertise and empathetic approach, customers feel well supported throughout the entire process.

Tasks

• Managing claims from the initial report through to full settlement
• Analysing claims and assessing liability and cover
• Maintaining contact with customers, experts, insurance companies and other relevant parties
• Negotiating with counterparties to reach a fair solution
• Administrative follow-up of cases in the management system
• Advising customers and answering their questions during the claims process
• Supporting colleagues with more complex claims cases
• Actively contributing ideas to ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery

Profile

You combine strong analytical skills with a customer-focused approach. You know when to listen, when to advise and when to take decisive action.

You recognise yourself (largely) in the following:

• You have experience in claims management or a similar role within the insurance sector
• Knowledge of one or more areas of insurance, such as motor, fire, third-party liability or legal expenses, is a major asset
• You communicate fluently and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• You stay calm under pressure and always focus on finding solutions
• You work with precision and monitor cases carefully
• You are a true team player who enjoys sharing knowledge with colleagues
• You have a customer-focused approach and build trust
• You’re comfortable using digital applications; experience with BRIO would be an advantage
• You enjoy continuing to develop yourself and are open to further training
