Certification Engineer

Function

As a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire certification process of innovative products and systems. You will ensure that all solutions meet international safety and quality standards and work closely with R&D, testing labs and external certification partners.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage certification processes from A to Z (CE, ENEC, CB, UL), including planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate with R&D to integrate compliance as early as the design phase.
• Perform practical tests and measurements in internal and external labs, including EMC and light measurements.
• Keeping abreast of changing standards and regulations such as LVD, EMC, RoHS and ECO design.
• Translate new regulations into concrete actions and improvements.
• Drafting and managing technical documentation.
• Communicate test results and findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with international certification bodies.
• Actively contribute to innovative product developments within a multidisciplinary team.

Profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics, Electromechanics or similar technical field.
• At least 3 years' experience within certification, testing, compliance or a similar technical function.
• Knowledge of certification standards and norms or strong motivation to become an expert in these.
• Hands-on attitude with experience in testing and technical documentation.
• Analytically strong and structured in approach.
• Interest in AI applications and innovative technologies.
• Independent, accurate and proactive.
• Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, both oral and written.
