Mechanical Design Engineer

Function

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for designing, developing and optimising technical products and components. You will supervise projects from concept phase to production and work closely with various internal departments.

Your responsibilities:

• Elaborate technical proposals and supervise new product developments from A to Z.
• Follow up on prototype construction and perform necessary internal and external testing according to applicable standards and regulations.
• Preparation of technical files for components to be purchased.
• Writing instructions, technical documentation and supporting calculation programmes.
• Collaborate with production to make designs production-ready.
• Develop technical solutions to complaints and formulate improvement proposals.
• Provide technical support to sales and production, including training.
• Report on ongoing projects during periodic R&D meetings.
• Ensure correct documentation and smooth communication within the team.

Profile

• Master's degree in a technical field such as Electromechanics, Industrial Design, Electronics or similar.
• At least 3 years' experience within product development or a similar technical position.
• Knowledge of technical lighting, heat dissipation or ventilation is a strong asset.
• Interest in AI applications and innovative technologies.
• Knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing and strength calculations.
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking skills.
• Creative team player who can also work independently.
• Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, both oral and written.
