Automation Engineer
Function
As an Automation Engineer, you form the bridge between production, engineering and IT. You actively participate in improving, automating and future-proofing production processes.
Your responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes (with focus on Siemens software).
- Analyse existing installations and processes and propose and realise improvements.
- Maintain and optimise PLC programmes.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to translate automation needs into concrete solutions.
- Supervise installations, testing and commissioning of new systems.
- Resolve technical faults and provide support as needed.
- Active monitoring of new trends and technologies within industrial automation.
Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in an industrial field (such as electrical engineering or automation).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Accurate, discreet and a true team player.
- Thorough knowledge of Siemens software (TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager).
- Knowledge of Eplan and SQL is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of French and English.
- Hands-on attitude, flexible and forward-looking.
- Eager to learn and proactive in expanding your knowledge.
