Automation Engineer

Function

As an Automation Engineer, you form the bridge between production, engineering and IT. You actively participate in improving, automating and future-proofing production processes.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes (with focus on Siemens software).
• Analyse existing installations and processes and propose and realise improvements.
• Maintain and optimise PLC programmes.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to translate automation needs into concrete solutions.
• Supervise installations, testing and commissioning of new systems.
• Resolve technical faults and provide support as needed.
• Active monitoring of new trends and technologies within industrial automation.

Profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an industrial field (such as electrical engineering or automation).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Accurate, discreet and a true team player.
• Thorough knowledge of Siemens software (TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager).
• Knowledge of Eplan and SQL is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of French and English.
• Hands-on attitude, flexible and forward-looking.
• Eager to learn and proactive in expanding your knowledge.
