Purchaser Construction

Function

As a Construction Purchaser, you will be responsible for the entire procurement process of various construction files, from structural work to completion.

You work on multiple projects simultaneously and keep an overview. You work mainly from the office, with occasional presence on site to keep in touch with the field.

This means concretely:

• negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors and concluding clear, correct contracts
• comparing offers and actively seeking technical and budgetary optimisations
• coordinating with project leaders, calculation and engineering department so that purchases perfectly match planning and execution
• monitoring budgets and market-based prices throughout the process
• structuring and managing procurement files from A to Z

Profile

What we really need:

• a bachelor's degree in architecture, real estate or equivalent through experience as a buyer
• several years of experience in a construction company (no starter profile)
• a strong knowledge of pricing, market prices and building materials
• experience of negotiating in a professional construction context (preferably larger projects)

In addition, you possess essential soft skills:

• negotiation skills, as you have to weigh up interests on a daily basis without losing cooperation
• structure and overview, allowing you to manage multiple files in parallel without missing details
• stress-resistance as deadlines and budgets converge
• drive and enthusiasm to deliver quality and help build sustainable projects
