Function

As shift leader, you have final responsibility for all production activities within your team. You will work in a dynamic production environment, where every day you ensure that a team of operators makes the tastiest salads in a safe, qualitative and efficient way.

  • You watch over safety, quality, hygiene and profitability of the production organisation and embed these values in your employees.
  • You manage a team of about 60 production workers, with the help of team supervisors whom you coach and supervise intensively.
  • You provide a personal development plan for each employee, on the basis of which necessary training is provided.
  • You conduct performance and absence interviews with your employees to further develop the organisation.
  •  You monitor KPIs, which you use to monitor daily performance and also follow up that there is a positive trend over time.
  • You will participate in daily production meetings with all production-related departments.
  • You are the point of contact for your team with other departments (service prevention, quality department, planning, technical department, HR, logistics, etc.), and help solve ad hoc problems on a daily basis.
  • You identify improvement opportunities. You pull small and medium-sized improvement projects together with your own or a multifunctional team. You develop the project from idea to follow-up after implementation.
  • You provide communication to your employees through board meetings.

Profile

  • You have a higher (technical) education or equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in an equivalent role, experience in a food company production environment is definitely a plus.
  • Your first focus is safety, followed by food safety.
  • Knowledge of risk analysis, HACCP, IFS and lean manufacturing is a plus.
  • You are PC literate and familiar with common office applications (outlook, word, excel).
  • You are a communicative hands-on people manager who can motivate your team to achieve pre-set targets.
  • You think and act result-oriented in terms of solutions and improvements.
  • You are independent, decisive and show initiative.
  • You feel comfortable in a rapidly changing work environment. You get energy from constantly seeking improvements. You are flexible and stress-resistant.
  • You will help build an open feedback culture within the company.
