Function

The job description for this position as Service Engineer:

  • You will do the start-up of the machines.
  • You provide electrical and software support during and after installation of the machine at the customer's premises.
  • You handle all problems that are electrical or software related and you provide technical support to the Service Engineers.
  • You handle telephone and written service questions from the customer and you analyse the problem through efficient questioning.
  • You try to help the customer as much as possible from a distance so that (expensive) physical travel is avoided as much as possible.
  • You carry out online fault diagnostics and make adjustments via remote control.
  • Occasionally, you will also be sent to the customer to solve complex software problems on site or to assist the Service Technicians during peak periods.
  • You prepare service reports that serve as the basis for invoicing but also as input for the R&D department.
  • In the longer term, you will organise and give demos in-house to potential customers.

Organisation

A dynamic family business. The group includes five other companies and provides them with administrative, planning, HR, marketing, IT and other support services.

Each of these companies has its own focus and strategy. The similarity between these five company profiles? Their emphasis on the industrial sector and their passion for technology and innovation.

Their activities, on the other hand, span the globe.

As a future colleague, you will be part of a growing company. With plenty of career opportunities, exciting challenges and the chance to boost your own development.

Profile

What are the qualifications for this position as Service Engineer:

  • You are stress-resistant, problem-solving-oriented and have a hands-on mentality.
  • You are bitten by technology, work independently, professional and service-oriented.
  • You have extensive language skills and are willing to develop these further (you will be able to speak French and English regularly).
