As Head Accountant at our client in Geel, your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

• You have ultimate responsibility for the accounting for the entire group. This includes some four companies.
• In collaboration with 2 other colleagues's, you will ensure correct processing of all invoices.
• You will take on a management role in relation to these 2 colleagues's.
• You take care of intercompany invoices.
• You are responsible for monitoring budgets.
• You will be responsible for monthly closures and consolidation.
• You help prepare the audits.
• You will take a pulling role in the conversion to the new ERP system.
• You are a backup for the other 2 colleagues when they are absent in the operational accounting area, but you also know how to handle payroll processing, for example.

We are currently looking for a chief accountant in the Geel region to join the team of our client, active in the metal sector. This vacancy is open due to the approaching retirement of the current chief accountant.

To fill this role of Bookkeeper A-Z, we are looking for the person who recognises themselves in the following:

• You ideally obtained a master's degree in an economics or accounting field.
• You can count on extensive experience of several years in an A to Z accounting role.
• You have experience in a manufacturing environment.
• You are strong in Excel and fluent in ERP systems.
• You have a hands-on attitude and do not shy away from assisting in operational work where needed.
• You know how to express yourself fluently in Dutch; you can also more than get by in English.
• You are looking for full-time employment.
