Automation Engineer

For the position of automation engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing automation solutions for production processes.

• Design and implementation of automation solutions.
• Programming and configuration of PLC systems (TIA Portal), also SCADA.
• Performing testing and preparing technical documentation.
• You perform testings in their production hall before it goes to the customer.
• Installing and commissioning systems at customers' premises.
• You will work from the Brecht office as well as at customers' premises.

For the job of automation engineer in Brecht, we are looking for the following profile:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics.
• Several years' experience as an automation engineer is a plus.
• Knowledge of experience in PLC programming, preferably with TIA Portal.
• Good command of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work both in the office and at customers' premises.
• You are open to on-call duties.

This family business, located in Brecht, is speialised in developing automated infralogistics systems from A to Z for the pharma, oil & gas, automotive, etc. sectors. In Brecht they have their own production hall where everything is tested before being sent to the customers. In total, there are about 45 employees.
