Site Manager Flanders

Location: Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Belgium Specialisation: Construct Engineering Salary: € 3.000 - € 5.500 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 40 hrs/week Work ritme: Day

Function

What does your role as site manager look like?

  • As Site Manager, you take operational charge of a construction project in or from the Leuven region, from preparation and start-up through to completion.
  • You translate the project planning into a clear daily work organisation and align execution with workers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project management.
  • You monitor the progress, quality and efficiency of the works, ensuring that agreements are met and the project moves forward in a controlled manner.
  • On site, you are the first point of contact for practical questions and decisions. You flag bottlenecks in good time and work together with the parties involved to find feasible solutions.
  • You monitor safety regulations and address people when necessary. In doing so, you help create a working environment in which everyone can work safely and professionally.
  • You report regularly on planning, quality, materials, risks and any changes. This information gives the project manager and the execution team the right basis to make adjustments.
  • Thanks to your presence and structure, the site team remains focused, collaboration runs smoothly and the site grows into a result that everyone involved can be proud of.

Profile

Are you a born organiser?

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, applied architecture or an equivalent qualification provides a solid foundation for this role.
  • You have approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in the execution of construction projects and understand what is needed to organise a site practically and efficiently.
  • Planning, setting priorities and monitoring multiple activities simultaneously come naturally to you. You maintain overview, even when circumstances change during execution.
  • Initiative and a sense of responsibility are important: you do not wait when a problem arises, but communicate clearly and work purposefully towards a solution.
  • You are a connecting team player. Because you work daily with various profiles, respectful communication, listening skills and the ability to bring people on board are essential.

Organisation

Our client is an ambitious organisation active in several domains. Projects are situated across civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, petrochemicals, technical installations, prefab, buildings, steel construction, project development and restoration. Thanks to this broad expertise, you will find yourself in a versatile environment where no two challenges are the same. Complex projects are tackled together with a strong focus on responsibility, initiative and collaboration. You become part of a site team that rolls up its sleeves, supports one another and does not shy away from substantial challenges. Outside of work there is also room for relaxation, with an occasional sporting challenge or a sociable get-together. You will feel the great atmosphere every single day.

Offer

What do you get in return for your commitment?

  • An attractive, market-conform salary, tailored to your experience, responsibilities and technical expertise.
  • A varied role in which you bear responsibility for your own site and contribute to diverse projects in buildings, civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, technical installations, restoration and other specialist disciplines.
  • A working organisation that, where project planning allows, takes your place of residence into account. For this vacancy, the main working region is around Leuven, with travel depending on the assigned site.
  • Collective construction leave in summer and winter, totalling 32 holiday days, so that you can plan your time off well in advance.
  • A cafeteria plan that allows you to put together part of your salary package according to your personal situation.
  • Targeted training, guidance from a mentor and a development path that aligns with your experience and ambitions as a Site Manager Flanders or project manager.
