Site Manager

Function

As a Site Manager in the Leuven region, you will actively participate in diverse and complex Class 8 construction projects.

Our client operates throughout Belgium, with a strong focus on Flanders.

In your role as site manager, you work closely with a Project Manager and Work Planner and have a site office on the site itself for each project, which means you are always close to the execution.

• Organising and starting up the yard, including yard equipment and materials supply;
• Coordinate and follow up the entire execution on site;
• Managing day-to-day execution and monitoring returns at own shifts and subcontractors;
• Follow up on the schedule and anticipate possible deviations or delays in a timely manner;
• Organising and leading site meetings;
• Implement and monitor quality, safety and environmental systems in accordance with ISO and VCA standards;
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on project progress.

Profile

As a Site Manager, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Work Planner to deliver projects successfully.

The yards are mainly located in Brussels or within the Ghent-Antwerp-Brussels triangle.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• You have at least initial experience as a Site Manager, preferably within complex projects or Class 8 environment;
• You have strong leadership and negotiation skills;
• You are a strong people manager;
• You combine planning and communication skills with strong negotiating skills and a diplomatic attitude;
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch, supplemented by knowledge of French;
• You are in possession of a driving licence B.
