Transport planner
Function
Join an energetic team of around ten colleagues within the national transport planning team. As a planner, you’ll play a key role in day-to-day planning and dispatching. You’ll combine strong analytical skills with a good knowledge of geography, and help ensure an efficient and customer-focused service.
You’ll be joining a dynamic environment where collaboration, commitment and open communication are key. Despite rapid growth and operational challenges, there’s a strong focus on team spirit and a positive working atmosphere. You’ll be based at a modern office, working alongside a large group of colleagues from various departments.
As a transport planner, you will be responsible for the following tasks on a daily basis:
- Drawing up and monitoring the daily transport schedule for customers in Belgium.
- Co-ordinating collections and deliveries in accordance with the agreed schedule.
- Monitoring the frequency of visits and service calls to customers.
- Maintaining contact with customers by telephone and in writing to ensure smooth coordination.
- Recording and managing customer visits in the planning system and following up on ad hoc requests throughout the day.
- Using ERP, track-and-trace and planning software to support processes efficiently.
Profile
If you have the following skills, then you’re exactly the person we’re looking for:
- You have experience in transport planning, logistics or dispatching;
- You have strong organisational and analytical skills;
- You communicate fluently and with a customer-focused approach, both over the phone and by email;
- You work with precision and maintain a clear overview, even in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience with ERP and planning systems is an advantage;
