Transport planner

Function

We are looking for a Transport Planner for our client in Aarschot. As a Transport Planner in lovely Aarschot, you will be the architect of the logistics puzzle. Through your planning, you will manage a fleet of 15 to 25 lorries on a daily basis for Food & Feed bulk transport. You’ll be working within a friendly team of four colleagues, where teamwork and a sense of humour are the secrets to success.

Here are a few of your to-dos:

• Drawing up daily route plans and coordinating them with drivers and customers;
• Track & Trace monitoring to ensure journeys run smoothly;
• Booking time slots for loading and unloading;
• Maintaining contact with customers, terminals and loading points in Belgium, the Netherlands and France;
• Supporting drivers with any queries or unexpected situations;
• Plan maintenance and repairs in conjunction with the garage;
• Coordinate transport operations in accordance with driving and rest periods;
• Processing daily reports and identifying discrepancies;
• Reporting to your line manager on progress and any issues.

Profile

For the role of Transport Planner in Aarschot, our client is looking for someone who is not only a logistics genius but also a true team player. You are able to cope well under pressure, solution-oriented and your communication skills are top-notch!

What do they expect from you?

• A bachelor’s degree in logistics or equivalent through experience (although this is not essential);
• Experience in bulk transport or a keen interest in the sector;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with a good basic knowledge of French;
• Knowledge of driving and rest period regulations;
• Familiar with MS Office applications;
• Location: you live in the Aarschot area;
• Accuracy, independence and a love of teamwork;
• Flexible working hours: working both long weeks (6.30 am – 5.00 pm, on standby in the evenings/at night) and short weeks (9.00 am – 3.00 pm);
• Motivation, enthusiasm and the drive to contribute to sustainable bulk transport.

For the role of Transport Planner in Aarschot, our client is offering:

• An attractive salary of €3,000 to 3,300 per month (depending on your experience);
