Transport planner

Function

We are looking for a Transport Planner for our client in Mol. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient planning of bulk transport operations within Germany and beyond. You will manage a fleet of 60–80 lorries, with a focus on collaborating with both in-house drivers and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Drawing up daily route schedules and liaising with drivers, terminals and customers;
• Real-time monitoring of journeys and making adjustments in the event of deviations;
• Supporting drivers with queries and unexpected situations;
• Planning maintenance and repairs in consultation with the garage;
• Processing of daily reports and flagging of anomalies;
• Ensure that transport is carried out in accordance with driving and rest periods and customer requirements;
• Reporting and highlighting issues to the person in charge.

Profile

For the role of Transport Planner, our client in Mol expects the following from you:

• A graduate/bachelor’s degree in logistics or equivalent experience;
• At least 3–5 years’ experience as a planner, preferably in bulk transport;
• Knowledge of driving and rest period regulations;
• Fluency in Dutch and English; a basic knowledge of German would be an advantage;
• Experience with MS Office and other commonly used software;
• Qualities such as the ability to cope with stress, a solution-oriented approach, independence and teamwork;
• Flexibility regarding working hours (day shift between 8.30 and 16.30 and willingness to work the late shift once a month – 13.30–21.30);
• Commitment and engagement for a growing, dynamic department.
