Transport planner

Function

Do you have experience as a Transport Planner and a thorough knowledge of international logistics? For our lively team in Meer, we are looking for someone who understands our logistics processes and can organise our transport efficiently. What can you expect from your duties?

• You will be responsible for planning international transports of fruit and vegetables, ranging from Dutch vegetables to exotic delicacies such as mangoes and avocados;
• You work in an environment where everything happens at lightning speed. Keeping to deadlines and switching quickly are a matter of course for you;
• You will have frequent contact with our international team, including offices in France and Riga, communicating mainly in French and English;
• On a daily basis, you will maintain contact with customers and the warehouse;
• You give clear instructions to drivers and warehouse staff.

Profile

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Nice experience in transport planning; experience in fruits and vegetables is an advantage;
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and TAS, with the drive to achieve further digitisation of processes;
• Strong commercial acumen;
• Flexibility and no 9-to-5 mentality;
• Excellent command of French (70-80% of communication is with colleagues and customers);
• Ability to perform well under pressure.

Organisation

Our client is a Belgian transport company with 160 owned trucks. They specialise in international refrigerated and freezer transport.
