Transport planner

Function

Are you an experienced Transport Planner with extensive knowledge of international logistics? Our dynamic team in Meer is looking for an enthusiastic professional who has a thorough understanding of our logistics processes and can ensure the smooth organisation of transport. What will your responsibilities be?

• You will be responsible for planning international shipments of fruit and vegetables, ranging from traditional Dutch produce to exotic fruits such as mangoes and avocados;
• You work in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines and adapting quickly come naturally to you;
• You will be in regular contact with our international team, including offices in France and Riga, communicating mainly in French and English;
• You’ll be in daily contact with customers and our warehouse;
• You will provide clear instructions to drivers and warehouse staff.

Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant experience in transport planning; experience with fruit and vegetables would be an advantage;
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and TAS, combined with a desire to further digitise processes;
• A keen commercial acumen;
• A flexible approach and no 9-to-5 mentality;
• Fluency in French (approximately 70–80 per cent of communication takes place with colleagues and clients);
• The ability to continue working effectively under pressure.

Organisation

Our client is a Belgian transport company with 160 owned trucks. They specialise in international refrigerated and freezer transport.
