Transport planner

Function

As a transport planner at our client’s site in Ypres, you are the key link in the logistics chain. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that transport operations run efficiently and that everything runs smoothly.

What does your job entail?

• You will monitor the daily schedule and manage the drivers where necessary
• You organise and coordinate loading, unloading and rinsing procedures via the ERP system
• You will monitor the schedule and take proactive action in the event of changes or unexpected situations
• You will coordinate maintenance and repairs with the in-house garage and external partners
• You will liaise with drivers, colleagues and external parties
• You’ll help come up with ideas for improvements and contribute to the smooth running of transport operations

Profile

Who is our client looking for?

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree or have relevant experience in transport/logistics
• You have strong organisational skills and enjoy coordinating several tasks at once
• You have a solution-oriented mindset and remain calm when plans change
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English
• You are an enthusiastic team player with a flexible attitude

Our client is a Belgian logistics company operating in transport and supply chain. They focus primarily on food logistics and the transport of chilled and temperature-sensitive goods.
