Accountant A-Y

Function

As a Junior Accountant, you will be part of the finance team and will support the day-to-day accounting for various companies within an international group. You will have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities step by step and to develop your skills further within the field of accounting.

Your duties will include:

• Processing purchase, sales and financial transactions.
• Posting and checking supplier invoices.
• Monitoring payments and suppliers.
• Support with VAT returns and tax obligations.
• Assisting with the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Actively contributing ideas on the optimisation and digitisation of accounting processes.
• Working with colleagues from different departments within an international environment.

Profile

You are an accountant keen to learn, who likes to take the initiative and wants to progress within the finance sector.

In addition, you recognise yourself in the points below:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Taxation or another finance-related degree.
• Preferably some initial relevant work experience as an accountant or assistant bookkeeper.
• Good knowledge of Excel; experience with an ERP system would be an advantage.
• You work with precision and have strong analytical skills.
• You’re keen to learn and enjoy taking on responsibility.
• You will work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are fluent in Dutch. Knowledge of French and/or English is an added advantage in an international context.
