Transport planner

Function

As a transport planner, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• You will be responsible for drawing up the day-to-day international schedule;
• You’ll be on hand to help out in various countries when staff are on leave or during busy periods;
• You optimise trips and routes, focusing on profitability and efficiency;
• You interact with customers, international partners and drivers;
• You solve operational problems and quickly anticipate changes;
• Preparation of transport documents and tariffs;
• You monitor delivery times and service quality;
• You actively think about improvements within the transport department.

Profile

Are you the transport planner we are looking for?

• You have initial experience as a transport planner or experience in a similar logistics role;
• You have a good geographical knowledge of Europe;
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus;
• You cope well with stressful situations and can move quickly when changes occur;
• You are flexible, hands-on and have strong communication skills;
• You are comfortable with MS-Office, knowledge of ERP is a plus.
