Technical Sales Support
Function
As Technical Sales Support at Dilsen-Stokkem You are the technical link between customers, sales and internal teams. You support installers, architects and construction professionals by providing clear, accurate and practical technical information, enabling them to work efficiently with integrated heating, ventilation and cooling solutions.
In this role, you’ll combine technical insight with a customer-focused approach and a meticulous way of working. You’ll manage enquiries from start to finish, read technical plans, provide clear explanations to customers and work closely with both internal and external sales teams on a daily basis. You’ll ensure that files are well-prepared and that customers receive a reliable response promptly.
Your main tasks:
- Reading and analysing technical plans and documents, and translating them into clear information for clients and colleagues
- Maintain daily contact with customers by telephone and in writing, and provide support with technical enquiries
- Working alongside the inside and outside sales teams to ensure quotations, follow-up and customer files run smoothly
- Explaining products, applications and system solutions to customers
- Contributing ideas for practical solutions within a technical and commercial context
- Carefully monitor your work and keep track of priorities in an environment where quality and speed are important
You will be working in an environment where technology, comfort and energy efficiency come together. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge and make a tangible contribution to solutions that are already ready today to meet the needs of tomorrow.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for an eager-to-learn and meticulous candidate with some initial experience or a strong interest in technical support and sales. You do not need to have years of experience, but you must be able to switch easily between technical matters, customer contact and administrative follow-up.
Your profile:
- 0 to 3 years’ experience in a technical, commercial or support role
- Technical aptitude and the ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- You can provide clear and professional explanations to customers
- You enjoy working on a computer every day and keep records meticulously
- You are able to cope well with stress, are meticulous and can set priorities
- You are keen to learn and motivated to further develop your technical knowledge
- You work well in collaboration with the internal sales team and external partners
Experience in HVAC, climate control solutions, building services engineering or a similar technical field is an asset, but certainly not essential. A genuine interest in systems, products and customer solutions is more important than a long CV.
