As Technical Sales Manager within the brew & beverage industry, you will be the direct point of contact for customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and France, as well as supporting agents in other international regions such as the US, Spain/Portugal, and Greece.
Your tasks:
- Detect new leads and business opportunities in your region through market research, networking, trade shows and events.
- Build, manage and deepen long-term relationships with end customers and agents in the food and beverage industry.
- Preparation of technical quotations together with the engineering team, focusing on customised solutions.
- Intensive follow-up of sales processes from prospecting to contract signing.
- Managing, coaching and where necessary expanding the local agent network in the regions concerned.
- Accurate maintenance of the CRM system and careful reporting of commercial activities.
- At least 50% of your time on the move, half of which will be foreign customer visits, markets and trade fairs.
Profile
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a technical or engineering discipline (e.g. Electromechanics, Process Engineering, Biochemistry...) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years B2B experience in technical sales of capital goods, process equipment or industrial solutions.
- Preferably experience gained in the food or brewing industry; process knowledge or brewing technical knowledge (such as a background as a brewing engineer) is a great asset.
- Electromechanical understanding and process engineering experience are required.
- Candidates coming from a customer environment (such as technical managers or project managers at breweries, soft drink manufacturers, food producers) are actively encouraged to apply.
- You are fluent in Dutch and French; knowledge of English is a must for smooth communication with foreign customers and agents.
- You are commercially minded, relationally strong, results-oriented and independent.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of your time (mainly Belgium, Netherlands, France and other international regions).
- In possession of driving licence B.
