Our client, active in industrial automation, is looking for an International Project & Commissioning Engineer with hands-on experience in commissioning, electrical and automation. As an International Project & Commissioning Engineer, you are the essential point of contact for international installations and technical projects. Together with the project team, you go to various locations in Europe, Africa and other continents to install, test and optimise industrial machine lines. You ensure technically correct commissioning of fillers, washers, packers and unpackers, among others. You communicate directly with customers on site and provide both technical and operational support for commissioning and troubleshooting.

Please note: For this role, you will travel to overseas projects approximately 60% of the time. The remaining time you will work from the head office in Puurs or home office.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Planning and coordinating international installation & commissioning projects
• Preparing for site readiness, clear communication with local teams
• Supervising installation and testing of machines according to technical specifications
• Technical troubleshooting and on-site troubleshooting
• Optimise processes and recommend improvements
• Oversee quality and safety standards worldwide, train operators
• Preparation of technical documentation and reporting
• Project management: planning, budget monitoring and stakeholder communication
• Efficient allocation of resources across international locations

Profile

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electromechanics, Electronics or similar
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, automation and commissioning (Siemens PLCs: S7/TIA Portal)
• Willing to travel an average of 60% of the time (worldwide)
• Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a big plus
• Hands-on and technically strong
• Flexible, stress-resistant and customer-oriented
• Communicative and accurate
