Function
In this role, the Account Manager manages his/her own customer portfolio within Europe and supervises projects from enquiry to delivery. The role offers a high degree of autonomy where the Account Manager plans his/her own schedule, customer visits and priorities.
The Account Manager is the connecting link between the customer and the internal organisation. He/she analyses technical questions, translates them into concrete solutions and ensures the smooth implementation of projects in cooperation with engineering, production, quality and planning.
The position combines technical analysis, project follow-up and relationship management, making for a varied and substantive role with visible impact on the end result.
Project and customer management
- Supervises client projects from quotation phase to completion.
- Analyses technical customer requests and translates them into production solutions.
- Monitors timing, quality and progress of ongoing projects.
- Communicates proactively with customers on schedule and project status.
Technical-commercial role
- Advises customers on technical options, materials and production processes.
- Works out quotations in collaboration with internal departments.
- Collaborates with customers on optimisations and improvements.
- Detects opportunities within existing collaborations.
Work organisation & region
- Manages a European client portfolio.
- Independently plans customer visits and project follow-up.
- Organises his/her own agenda with a good balance between external contacts and internal follow-up.
- Participates sporadically in trade fairs or customer visits within Europe.
Internal cooperation
- Align projects with engineering, planning, production and quality.
- Organises project meetings where necessary.
- Ensures clear communication between client and internal teams.
- Solves technical and organisational challenges pragmatically.
Profile
We are looking for a technically savvy professional who enjoys taking responsibility and gets energy from realising concrete projects in an industrial environment.
- You have experience in metalworking and casting.
- You speak very good English, Dutch is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and smooth collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Good technical understanding and interest in industrial production processes.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Independent and proactive, with a high sense of responsibility.
- Customer-oriented, reliable and solution-oriented.
- Willingness to travel within Europe.
Organisation
