Technical Purchaser

Function

As Technical Purchaser You are a key link between suppliers, production and engineering. You are responsible for the procurement of technical components and materials and help to ensure a smooth, efficient and high-quality procurement process within an environment where customisation, reliability and technical precision are paramount.

You will closely monitor procurement files, contribute ideas regarding stock levels and delivery reliability, and ensure that the correct materials are available on time. In addition, you will maintain contact with suppliers, keep abreast of market developments and actively help identify ways to improve procurement and stock management processes.

• You will familiarise yourself with technical products, procurement files and the ERP system.
• You will manage procurement files from start to finish, both administratively and operationally.
• You will take responsibility for specific groups of components and support stock management.
• You will negotiate with suppliers on prices, delivery times and commercial terms.
• You keep a close eye on price movements, market trends and technical innovations.
• You identify bottlenecks and proactively contribute ideas on how to optimise processes.
• You will work closely with colleagues from engineering, production and other internal teams.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an eager-to-learn and organised candidate with a keen interest in technology and procurement. You do not need to have years of experience; some initial experience or an internship in procurement, the supply chain or a technical environment would be an advantage. More importantly, you should think analytically, work accurately and switch easily between administrative tasks, communication and operational follow-up.

• Ideally, you will have a technical qualification or a strong aptitude for technical work.
• Ideally, you will have some initial experience in procurement, the supply chain, production or a technical environment.
• You work in a structured, precise and results-oriented manner.
• You are able to maintain a clear overview in a dynamic environment and set priorities.
• You have excellent communication skills and negotiate professionally with suppliers.
• You are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently; French and/or German would be an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
