Supply Chain Officer
Function
As Supply Chain Officer at Aalst You will be the operational point of contact for day-to-day order administration and the monitoring of deliveries, customers and suppliers. You will ensure that incoming orders are processed correctly, that delivery times are monitored, and that all parties involved are kept informed in a timely and clear manner. In this role, you will combine administrative accuracy with a strong sense of planning, follow-up and customer service.
You will work closely with colleagues from various departments and keep track of several ongoing orders and projects at the same time. You will proactively liaise with suppliers and transport partners, monitor deliveries and documentation, and identify potential bottlenecks in good time. You are a key link in ensuring the smooth running of the supply chain and contribute directly to accurate and customer-focused delivery.
Your duties will include:
- Receive, enter and process new customer orders in the ERP system.
- Placing orders with suppliers and following up on order confirmations and delivery dates.
- Keeping track of current orders, deliveries and the parties involved.
- Communicate proactively with suppliers and hauliers to ensure deliveries are made on time and correctly.
- Track deliveries to the warehouse and check that they have been correctly recorded in the ERP system.
- Check incoming invoices relating to deliveries from suppliers.
- Preparing and following up on documents requested by clients.
- Scheduling shipments with various transport partners.
- Identify bottlenecks in planning or processes and contribute ideas for improvements.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for a meticulous professional with strong communication skills who 3 to 5 years’ experience in an administrative and/or logistical environment. You feel at home in a role where follow-up, structure and a customer-focused approach are key. You are hands-on, think ahead and remain organised and meticulous with your administration, even when things get busy.
In addition, you possess:
- Experience in order processing, preferably using an ERP system; knowledge of Odoo is a plus.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Teams.
- A very good knowledge of Dutch and English, both orally and in writing.
- An independent approach to work and a willingness to adapt quickly to Aalst to be present.
- A service-oriented approach and the motivation to provide professional support to customers and suppliers.
- Good administrative skills, with a focus on document management, filing and information processing.
- The ability to monitor cases correctly, process documents digitally and assess priorities effectively.
Experience in supply chain management, order processing, logistics administration or customer service is highly relevant. Candidates who are keen to build a career with long-term prospects are particularly encouraged to apply.

Offer
You will be joining a dynamic environment where professionalism, collaboration and growth are key. For this role, we are looking for a starting package of between €2,500 and €2,950 gross per month The salary will be determined based on your experience and profile. This is an interim replacement assignment, with a realistic prospect of a permanent contract.
