Stability Engineer
Function
As a stability engineer, you will be part of an internal engineering department with engineers and structural draftsmen. You will report to a lead engineer and will have an active role throughout the entire course of a project. Your duties will include:
- Perform stability calculations for civil and industrial construction projects.
- Deepen and specialise in concrete calculations and geotechnical engineering, with scope to further develop your expertise.
- Provide technical support to sales and production, ensuring that designs are also practical and efficient to implement.
- Consult with production managers on customisation and the most appropriate implementation methods.
- Supervise draftsmen in developing production, reinforcement and laying plans.
- Staying up to date with standards and regulations in Belgium and surrounding countries.
- Co-manage and update technical documentation such as sheets, reinforcement details and lifting and placement instructions.
This position combines calculation, technical understanding and collaboration with various departments.
Profile
What do you need to be strong here?
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a construction field.
- An initial relevant work experience in concrete and/or geotechnical calculations.
In addition, you fit this role well because you:
- Analytical thinking: you understand complex issues and translate them into safe and feasible solutions.
- Accurate work: calculations and details have direct impact on safety and quality.
- Eager to work together: you interact smoothly with engineers, draftsmen, production and sales.
- Fluent in Dutch and able to express yourself well in English; a basic French will help in consultation.

You will join a stable player in the precast concrete industry and concrete mesh production, with several production sites in West Flanders and a strong internal study department. You work from a modern office environment in Wielsbeke, in close connection with production, assembly and logistics.

- Gross monthly salary between €4,000 and €5,000, depending on experience.
