Stability Engineer
Function
As a Stability Engineer, you will be part of an energetic team within an independent inspection and consultancy company specialising in quality assurance in the construction sector. In the position of technical specialist, you will analyse and evaluate various structures such as bridges, viaducts, tunnels, locks, artworks and special buildings on an independent basis. Your place of residence is taken into account when planning projects, so you will always work within a reasonable distance of your home address.
Your daily tasks include:
- Conducting analyses of technical risks;
- Calculating structures for strength, stability, deformation and connections;
- Reviewing construction drawings, reports and implementation plans;
- Writing assessment reports;
- On-site inspection of special or high-risk structures;
- Discussing results with clients and design teams;
- Recording risk assessments in the BouwQ database;
- Sharing and updating internal knowledge and continuing education of your expertise.
Profile
As a Stability Engineer, you will bring extensive professional knowledge and experience, enabling you to make a valuable contribution in a varied and challenging position. We are looking for a professional who possesses:
- A degree in Civil Engineering Construction or Industrial Engineering Construction;
- Minimum five years' experience in structural design and/or assessment;
- Excellent knowledge of calculation methods, software tools and calculation models;
- Good understanding of relevant standards and construction sector legislation;
- Strong analytical skills and a talent for problem solving;
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude;
- A high sense of responsibility and an eye for precision.
You can work both independently and as part of a team on complex and challenging projects that contribute to safe, sustainable structures. Experience in an inspection or consultancy firm is considered an advantage.
