Soil expert
Function
As a Water, Environment and Soil Expert, you will play a key role in various infrastructure projects, with responsibility for the soil, water and environmental aspects. Your duties will include:
- Carrying out dewatering studies, including flow rate calculations, settlement analyses and modelling of groundwater flow;
- Analysing and optimising design and water systems using tools such as Infoworks ICM (Hydronaut studies) and Sirio;
- Maintain an overview of other environmental issues – such as MHO and relevant legislation;
- Keeping abreast of innovations, contributing to internal knowledge-sharing and encouraging development within the team;
- Taking the initiative in improvement processes, optimisation and efficiency;
- (Optional) Take on a junior project leadership role on smaller technical projects, to further develop your specialist knowledge and project management skills.
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (environmental studies, water management, soil science, engineering, etc.);
- Relevant experience in groundwater modelling, dewatering consultancy, infiltration studies, (soil) investigations, environmental studies or similar disciplines;
- Strong analytical skills, good communication skills (both written and oral) and a true team player;
- Independent, proactive and keen to learn;
- Flexible, able to cope with stress and highly organised;
- Excellent command of the Dutch language.
