Function
- As a Software Service Engineer, you translate technical needs into reliable software, IT and audiovisual solutions that help clients move forward in their day-to-day operations.
- Configuring and programming software components and innovative audiovisual systems, with attention to stable operation and a smooth user experience.
- Integrating audio, video, control and network systems into one cohesive total solution, aligned with the technical requirements of each project.
- Installing, testing and commissioning hardware and software at various project locations within the BENELUX. You thoroughly verify the outcome prior to delivery.
- Analysing, resolving in a targeted manner and clearly documenting faults and complex system issues, so that clients can get back up and running quickly.
- Providing technical support during deliveries and advising Project Engineers on suitable solutions, materials and improvements.
- Contributing to optimisation and improvement projects within technical services, whilst reporting to the Project Manager and Project Engineer.
On average, you work one day per week from the office in Roeselare. The remaining time you are active at project locations or with clients, depending on the phase and needs of the project.
You will join an organisation that develops and manages ICT, telecom and audiovisual solutions for businesses and public-sector organisations. Teams work in co-creation with clients and combine the capabilities of an international group with the direct collaboration of locally organised business units. As an IT Service Engineer, you gain insight into a diverse range of technologies and a role with a noticeable impact on clients' operations.
Profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Electronics-ICT, Applied Computer Science or a comparable technical field provides a solid foundation; equivalent practical experience is equally relevant.
- Affinity with software, IT networks and audiovisual systems is important, as you combine technologies and need to be able to assess how they interact.
- Object-oriented programming with, for example, Python and C# is required; knowledge of HTML is an advantage.
- Being able to interpret technical plans, diagrams and network topologies helps you carry out integrations correctly and formulate well-founded improvement proposals.
- Experience as a Software Service Engineer or in a comparable technical role is an asset, but an enthusiastic starter with a relevant qualification can also grow in this role. Problem-solving thinking, customer-focused communication and careful collaboration are essential to making technical challenges understandable and bringing projects to a successful close.
