Site Manager for Infrastructure Projects

Function

As Site manager infrastructure You are the point of contact and the organisational focal point on site in Puurs, Antwerp. You will ensure that infrastructure projects run smoothly, safely and according to plan, from start to completion. Working closely with the project manager, you will monitor quality, timing, budget and execution, and manage the teams and stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.

• You will organise and plan the construction site from start to finish, ensuring efficient preparation and proper execution.
• You will help draw up the daily schedule and monitor progress closely.
• You will coach and motivate foremen, workers and subcontractors, with a focus on safety, productivity and quality.
• You monitor deadlines, budgets and technical implementation, and take timely action where necessary.
• You liaise easily with colleagues, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders on and around the site.
• You actively participate in site meetings and consultation events.
• You identify risks and opportunities, and contribute ideas on practical and technical solutions.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an experienced site manager with strong organisational skills and a clear interest in infrastructure projects. You combine technical knowledge with people skills and feel at home in a dynamic working environment where you need to switch quickly between planning, monitoring and communication.

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, surveying or industrial engineering, or have equivalent experience.
• Ideally, you will have 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• You are a natural planner with strong analytical skills and a practical mindset.
• You communicate effectively and constructively with site workers, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers and clients.
• You are able to cope well with stress, are flexible and always keep a clear overview, even when priorities change.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and consistently ensure safety, quality and adherence to deadlines.
• You speak and write Dutch fluently; a basic knowledge of French and English would be an advantage.
• You are a people manager who leads teams in a natural and motivating way.
• You combine maturity, alertness and initiative with a results-oriented approach to work.

Organisation

Square Group is a Belgian construction group active in infrastructure works, demolition, earthworks, soil remediation, the recycling of building materials, logistics and project development. The company operates on the basis of a circular model, whereby materials from demolition are recycled and reused as much as possible in new construction projects.
