Corporate banking relationship manager

Function

• As a business banking relationship manager, you support business owners with their banking files and ensure that applications are prepared carefully, correctly and with solid substantiation.
• Analysing balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and other financial information gives you insight into the situation of the business and forms the basis for well-founded decisions.
• You will process credit and financing applications, gather the necessary data and present files clearly to the relevant decision-makers.
• From the back office, you will monitor the progress of files, coordinate actions with colleagues and ensure that agreements are followed up in a timely manner.
• Where necessary, you will contact business owners to clarify information, schedule appointments or progress a file. The focus is primarily on substantive and administrative work behind the scenes.
• You will gradually grow into the role of client adviser: after a thorough onboarding period, you will have the space to work independently and take on straightforward conversations and appointments.
• An experienced team will guide you with targeted feedback and one-to-one coaching, so that you can take on more responsibility step by step as a Business Banking Relationship Manager.

Profile

• A first experience in business banking, commercial lending, an accountancy firm or a comparable administrative and financial environment provides a strong foundation. Our client is looking for candidates who wish to develop in a focused and purposeful way.
• You can read and interpret financial documents, work accurately with figures and understand what information is needed to build a solid business file.
• A degree or background in finance, accountancy, economics, banking and insurance, or equivalent practical experience is relevant for this role.
• A willingness to take ownership is important: you do not wait when a file requires follow-up, but bring structure, communicate in a timely manner and actively look for the next step.
• You are open to change, guidance and one-to-one coaching. A team-oriented attitude and the motivation to keep learning will help you grow sustainably in an environment with clear expectations.

The office currently operates across two locations, with a total of eighteen colleagues and ten offices. In the longer term, there is an ambition to centralise everything, which should bring even greater cohesion and efficiency.
