Function

As a logistics clerk, you are responsible for one or more quays where business activities continue for our client. In doing so, you are a supervising body towards the dock workers and are responsible for the following tasks:

• You will take operational responsibilities during the shift, working in a team, alternately taking responsibility over all operational happenings at the terminal and making decisions to keep the terminal running optimally in terms of operations during its shift (storage, vessels, rail, gate, trucks);
• Solving and anticipating all operational problems, conflict handling, calculating an optimal utilisation of port workers depending on expected capacity, making decisions regarding safety.

Profile

As a quayside clerk, you have the following capabilities;

• You have initial experience within the port;
• You are flexible and willing to work in a two-shift system;
• Basic oral knowledge of French and English to speak to drivers/ship crew;
• Knowledge of transport documents is not a requirement but a plus;
• You can work independently, are; stress-resistant and flexible;
• You have a driving licence B.
