Quality Engineer
Function
As Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to play a key role within ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction within the Halle and Wommelgem sites.
Your key responsibilities:
- Translate quality standards into practical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Support and direct Quality Control departments by performing visual and dimensional checks on incoming parts and quickly resolving non-conformances according to product specifications.
- Record measurement results and deviations (NCRs) in the ERP system and follow up on corrective actions.
- Handle non-conformities and customer complaints with structured methods such as 5 Why, Ishikawa and 8D.
- Conduct supplier audits at home and abroad to evaluate quality systems and process reliability.
- Actively contribute to internal process improvement and implementation of a new optical measurement system.
- Supervise internal and external audits and follow up on open actions (ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and customer audits).
Profile
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a driven professional who:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in electromechanics or similar technical training.
- A keen analytical ability and accuracy combines with a proactive work ethic.
- Experienced or willing to learn in an industrial/technological environment, e.g. as a Quality Engineer or Quality Coordinator.
- Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP, audits and methodologies such as 5 Why, Ishikawa and 8D for problem solving.
- Adopts a structured approach and can deliver projects independently.
- Willing to work in two locations (Halle and Wommelgem).
