Project Engineer
Function
- As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the technical, organisational and financial-administrative follow-up of construction projects, with continuous attention to planning, quality, safety and budget.
- From the office in Kruibeke and on site, you prepare the execution: you analyse drawings and execution details, align technical installations and working methods, and translate agreements into a feasible approach.
- The day-to-day coordination of your own staff, subcontractors, suppliers and other construction partners is partly in your hands. You ensure that everyone has the right information and is working towards the same goal.
- You keep a close eye on price enquiries, orders, progress statements, additional works and cost monitoring. This allows the project team to maintain visibility of financial progress and enables deviations to be corrected in a timely manner.
- Regular site visits and meetings form part of your work. You monitor progress, discuss bottlenecks with the parties involved and translate decisions into concrete actions.
- In collaboration with the project management, preparation and execution teams, you monitor technical quality and compliance with safety and site agreements. Your follow-up helps ensure that complex works are carried out in a controlled and careful manner.
- You will grow into an increasingly independent role as Project Manager or Project Coordinator, depending on your experience and ambitions. You will have the opportunity to take on responsibility across a variety of projects in building construction, civil works, hydraulic engineering, technical installations or other specialised construction activities.
Profile
- A degree in industrial or civil engineering (construction) provides a solid foundation. Ideally, you bring 3 to 5 years of experience in project follow-up, site organisation or a comparable role within the construction sector.
- You can interpret technical documents, drawings, execution details and budget information, and translate them into decisions that are practical on site.
- You are organisationally strong: setting priorities, following up on agreements and making timely adjustments are key to aligning multiple interests within a project.
- You communicate clearly with construction partners and colleagues at various levels. This is essential for managing expectations, raising issues constructively and strengthening collaboration on site.
- Complex situations do not deter you. With perseverance, a sense of responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset, you continue to search for workable solutions, even when planning, quality and budget all demand attention simultaneously.

- You work from Kruibeke and on projects that, where possible, are close to your region. The specific work location varies depending on the project and the phase of execution.
