Timber structures project engineer
Function
Do you want to help build a sustainable future? As a Timber Structures Project Engineer at an independent inspection and consultancy firm in Antwerp, you will become a crucial part of an experienced team ensuring the quality, safety and sustainability of construction projects. You will independently assess designs of timber structures and perform inspection calculations. In doing so, you contribute to risk management by preparing technical risk analyses and transferring risk points from design to execution. You inspect structures on site or in the factory, discuss findings with involved parties and work closely within our multidisciplinary project team. You will also participate in knowledge sharing and continue to learn about the latest technical insights. This is your chance to make an impact on the construction sector and use your technical expertise to the full.
Profile
- A master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil/Industrial Engineering; additional knowledge of timber structures is an advantage;
- Preferably more than 5 years' experience in designing and/or assessing structural aspects of (timber) construction projects;
- Mastery of relevant (calculation) software and calculation models, standards and guidelines;
- Strong analytical thinking skills and excellent communication skills;
- A passion for sustainable construction and motivation to share your knowledge and contribute to innovation within your field.
