Function

As Project leader residential construction You will be the main point of contact for internal teams, subcontractors, engineering firms and clients, and will ensure that every project is completed smoothly, to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe and budgets.

In this role, you will combine technical insight with strong organisational and people-focused leadership. You will oversee multiple projects, make decisions where necessary and, at the same time, monitor progress on site. Thanks to your approach, houses, flats, social housing, large residential estates and non-residential projects will be managed efficiently and professionally.

• Independently managing construction projects for from preparation to handover.
• Drawing up, monitoring and adjusting the project schedule.
• Monitoring budgets, returns, additional and reduced works, and financial reporting.
• Coordinating site managers, subcontractors, suppliers and engineering firms.
• Chairs site meetings and project meetings.
• Monitoring technical quality, safety, environmental standards and compliance with agreements.
• Identifying and managing project risks and bottlenecks.
• Maintaining a constructive working relationship with clients and construction partners.
• Ensuring timely, accurate and high-quality delivery.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for an experienced project manager with 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience within the construction sector. You have a solid technical background and are in your element when overseeing housing projects, apartment blocks or larger residential and commercial construction sites. You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly and have no trouble keeping multiple stakeholders on the same page.

You are someone who takes responsibility, thinks ahead and isn’t afraid to make decisions. You combine a hands-on approach with a good overview and know how to make a difference both on site and in meetings. Experience in financial monitoring, planning and quality control is a major asset.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
• Experience of independently managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A sound understanding of finance and a focus on returns.
• Decisive, able to cope with stress and solution-oriented.
• A team player with a coaching style and a practical approach.
• A natural focus on safety, quality and customer focus.
• Willing to actively follow up in the Aartselaar, Antwerp and Flemish Brabant regions.
