Project Manager

Function

As Industrial Renovation Project Manager You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and monitoring of renovation projects in and around Kortenberg. You will work on sustainable modernisation projects within industrial environments and oversee projects from preparation through to handover. In doing so, you’ll liaise smoothly with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, internal teams and management.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Independently overseeing industrial refurbishment projects from start to finish, with a focus on planning, budget, quality and execution.
• Coordinate work within the roofing, concrete, screed flooring and comprehensive refurbishment departments.
• Monitor progress and ensure that agreements, deadlines and project objectives are met.
• To provide clear information to customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal staff, and to ensure they are efficiently co-ordinated with one another.
• To monitor compliance with safety regulations, technical standards and quality requirements on site.
• Identify risks, delays and practical bottlenecks in good time and seek targeted solutions.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules and reports, and communicate progress transparently to management.
• Contributing to efficient working practices and sustainable solutions for the modernisation of industrial facilities.

Within an organisation of around 35 staff members, you will be given the opportunity to take on responsibility, work directly with various stakeholders and develop your skills further in a diverse construction environment.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a hands-on and organised professional who can manage projects in a structured manner and is keen to take on responsibility. You don’t need to have years of experience: some initial experience in building, construction, renovation or project coordination provides a solid foundation.

We would prefer candidates who:

• A degree in architecture, structural engineering or a similar technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 0 to 3 years’ relevant experience in construction, renovation, site supervision or project management.
• An interest in industrial refurbishment and a willingness to further develop technical knowledge.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Clear communication and sufficient assertiveness to follow up on agreements with customers, suppliers and contractors.
• A solution-focused approach and the ability to identify risks and problems at an early stage.
• A focus on safety, quality, budgets and proper implementation.
• A constructive, team-oriented approach to work, combined with sufficient independence.
• Good knowledge of MS Office; experience with Bouwsoft or similar construction software would be an advantage.
• Willingness to oversee projects and sites in Kortenberg and the surrounding region.
