Civil Project Manager
Function
How do you keep a complex infrastructure project on track?
- As Civil Project Manager, you bear ultimate responsibility for one large infrastructure project or several smaller projects in Flanders, with Neder-over-Heembeek as your primary workplace.
- From preparation and planning through to execution and delivery, you coordinate the technical, organisational, commercial, and financial aspects of the project.
- You monitor scope, budget, timing, quality, and safety, and intervene promptly when risks or deviations threaten progress.
- In consultation with designers, subcontractors, suppliers, internal specialists, and clients, you align activities and translate complex issues into workable solutions.
- As project manager, you give direction to the project team, create clarity around responsibilities, and ensure that people work together in a focused manner.
- You maintain professional relationships with clients and other stakeholders, discuss progress and expectations, and contribute to sustainable collaborations.
- Regular reporting to management provides insight into the financial status, planning, risks, and decisions required to keep the project on track.
- You work within a construction organisation that realises and renovates infrastructure, including tunnels, bridges, hydraulic structures, and industrial projects, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and social added value.
Profile
Are you an experienced construction professional with a natural leadership style?
- A master's degree in civil engineering, as a civil or industrial engineer, gives you the technical foundation to assess and manage complex civil projects.
- You bring more than ten years of relevant experience in project management within civil construction, infrastructure, or a comparable technical environment.
- Experience with technical, commercial, and financial project monitoring helps you make decisions that are not only feasible, but also profitable and sustainable.
- You communicate clearly with various counterparts and know how to align interests; this is essential for building trust and bringing teams and clients on board.
- A structured, results-oriented, and committed working style suits you. You take responsibility, maintain overview in complex situations, and use common PC applications with ease; knowledge of Dutch and French is required for collaboration with the parties involved.
