Project Manager
Function
As Project Manager, you will bear responsibility for the coordination and follow-up of one or more construction sites.
You will manage site teams and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of works.
The projects are very varied, but are mainly situated within complex and challenging construction areas.
For this position, a presence in the Leuven region is desirable, with the flexibility to relocate according to job sites.
In this position, you will report directly to the Project Director.
Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating one or more construction sites from A to Z;
- Preparation of the Quality Environmental Plan (PKM), in collaboration with the Quality Manager and Environmental Advisor;
- Preparing the Safety, Health and Environmental (HSE) Plan, in collaboration with the Prevention Advisor;
- Monitoring compliance with PKM and HSE plans on site;
- Monitor planning, budget and execution deadlines;
- Carry out safety, health and environmental inspections on the yards (2x per year);
- Follow up on all necessary documentation and report to management on project status;
- Maintain and coordinate contacts with customers, study agencies, suppliers, subcontractors and government departments.
Profile
For this Project Manager role in the Leuven region, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
- Civil or industrial construction engineer, or equivalent through experience (e.g. architecture or other relevant construction training);
- At least 3-5 years' experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry;
- Experience with large-scale and technically challenging projects, preferably within Class 8 environment;
- Strong strategic and business-oriented mindset;
- Able to build and maintain high-level commercial relationships;
- Communicatively strong, with persuasiveness and good negotiation skills
- Strong people and management skills;
- Out-of-the-box thinker, who is solution-oriented and pragmatic;
- Very good knowledge of Dutch is essential, knowledge of French is a nice asset.
