Production Team Leader (2 Shifts)

Function

As Line manager working across two shifts you will manage a production line in a modern manufacturing environment in Erpe-Mere. You’ll ensure the continuity of the process, maintain an overview of the shop floor and make sure that quality, safety and productivity are spot on during every shift. You’ll work closely with colleagues in production and packing, adapt quickly to product changes and make decisions that keep the line running smoothly.

Your main tasks:

• You will be responsible for the start-up, conversion and shutdown of the production line;
• you monitor the production process and take prompt action in the event of deviations or stoppages;
• you communicate clearly with the packing department during product changes and planning changes;
• you ensure order, tidiness, hygiene and compliance with procedures in a food-handling environment;
• you carry out preventive checks and help to minimise or prevent breakdowns;
• You actively contribute ideas for improvements in the workplace and help to ensure smooth collaboration within the team.

You’ll have a varied role with a degree of responsibility, in which you’ll make a visible impact on the department’s results on a daily basis. Working in a rotating shift system requires maturity, a practical approach and the drive to continue delivering high-quality work even under time pressure.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably within the food sector. You combine technical expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, and you are comfortable in a role where you help to manage people and processes.

Your profile:

• you have a qualification in nutrition or equivalent experience in an industrial production environment;
• you have proven experience of managing a production line or coordinating a production shift;
• You work with precision and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and quality standards such as GMP;
• you communicate clearly and remain calm when production is under pressure;
• you are flexible and willing to work a two-shift system;
• you take the initiative, think in a solution-oriented way and have an eye for improvements in the workplace;
• You are physically capable of working actively in a production environment.

Experience with food products, line conversions and working alongside the packing or production teams is a major asset. A hands-on approach and a team-oriented attitude also make a real difference in this role.

Offer

You can count on a full-time contract of indefinite duration with a gross hourly wage of €20.08. On top of that, you’ll receive a shift allowance of 10% for the rotating shift system of 6 am–2 pm and 2 pm–10 pm. If you work the night shift, the following applies: surcharge of 20%. This ensures you are properly rewarded for your hard work and flexibility.
