Production planner

Function

As a Production Planner, you are the linchpin of our factory in the Aalst/Dendermonde region. In this strategic role, you will ensure seamless production planning and be responsible for keeping our factory running efficiently, safely and with a focus on the customer. You will work closely with various departments within the organisation and play a crucial role in the continuous optimisation of processes.

• Daily scheduling of machinery, tailored to customer requirements, safety and available capacity.
• Monitoring the balance between production capacity, stock levels and delivery times.
• Management and control of the finished goods warehouse.
• Respond flexibly to changes and adjust the schedule where necessary.
• Proactive communication and collaboration with production, procurement, sales and dispatch.
• Attending daily morning meetings with the production team, where assertive communication is essential.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of analytical skills, technical knowledge and strong communication skills. You are flexible and solution-oriented. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• At least 3 years’ experience in production planning.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to maintain an overview at both the macro and micro levels.
• Knowledge of technical and planning systems such as SAP and Excel.
• Confident communication and close collaboration with production and other departments.
• Flexibility and the ability to cope with stress when adapting to change.
• Fluency in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Cost awareness and a focus on process and stock optimisation.
