Production planner

Function

Are you a driven professional with a passion for planning and organisation? As a Production Planner, you play a crucial role in translating customer requirements into efficient production planning. Working from Asse, Belgium, you report directly to the Teamleader work preparation and planning. You are responsible for drawing up a detailed production planning and monitor delivery reliability. You proactively coordinate planning for customers, based on input from sales, production, stock management and purchasing. You anticipate capacity issues and work closely with the production organisation to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Drafting and adjusting the weekly production schedule, in consultation with the Production Teamlead.
• Coordinate planning based on sales, inventory and purchasing information.
• Checking component availability and data entry into business systems such as SAP.
• Daily verification of new production orders and support for changes.
• Keeping ERP systems up to date after production completion.
• Handle queries from production and seek solutions to unforeseen situations.
• Preparation of reports and statements of production data.
• Assess safety and health conditions and report incidents.

Profile

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A secondary level of thinking with experience in production planning.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch or French, both written and oral.
• Minimum 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with MS 365 and SAP is a plus.
• Competencies such as responsibility, planning skills, clear communication, result orientation, cooperation and decision making.
• A customer-centric mindset with a keen eye for improvement.
