Production planner

Function

Are you passionate about planning and organising in a dynamic production environment? At the company active in the food industry, as a production planner you play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production. From their location in Merchtem (Flemish Brabant), you ensure that their food products reach customers on time and in the desired quantities. You are the right hand of the production manager and report directly to him.

Your responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly production planning, taking into account stock levels, production capacity and customer needs.
• Moving quickly when changes occur, with attention to priorities.
• Creating staff schedules, including managing leave and overtime.
• Consultation with other departments such as technical maintenance, demand planning, procurement and logistics.
• Management of raw and packaging materials, including stock control and ordering from suppliers.
• Participating in article management in the ERP system and creating labels.
• Assist in improvement projects by analysing production data.
• Back-up tasks within quality management.
• Proactively thinking along with the production team to optimise processes.

Profile

Who are you?

We are looking for a results-oriented team player with a talent for organisation. Do you recognise yourself in the following profile?

• You have a bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• You have a passion for planning and working efficiently
• You have knowledge of MS Office. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• You have strong analytical skills and a drive for lean working.
• You communicate fluently and are a valuable asset both independently and as part of a team.
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good knowledge of English and French.
