Packaging Team Leader (2 Shifts)
Function
As Packaging Team Leader at Ninove You’ll provide day-to-day guidance for the packaging process in the patisserie department, the beating heart of production. You’ll work alongside an enthusiastic team in a refrigerated environment, ensuring that products are packaged correctly, on time and to the highest quality standards. In doing so, you’ll combine an operational presence on the shop floor with a coaching role for the packaging operators.
Your role will be varied and challenging:
- You’ll lead the packing team, motivate your colleagues and ensure smooth collaboration during the shift
- You’ll keep a close eye on the schedule and product changes and step in where necessary
- You will monitor the quality of the packaged products and check the labelling, sorting and finishing
- you step in to deal with minor technical faults and quickly find practical solutions
- You will monitor compliance with safety, hygiene and quality regulations
- You’ll help out with cover during breaks and help ensure continuity on the shop floor
- You take the initiative to make the packaging process more efficient and better organised
You will be working in an environment where ownership, teamwork and a results-oriented approach are key. The role requires a visible presence on the shop floor, a strong hands-on attitude and a willingness to work in two rotating shifts.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for a driven team leader with 3 to 5 years’ experience and a good understanding of people, planning and quality. You know how to lead a team in a positive way and you remain calm even when production is under pressure. Experience in a production or packaging environment is a major asset, as are a hands-on approach and a sense of responsibility.
Your profile:
- You have experience of leading, guiding or motivating a team
- You’ll be working on the shop floor whilst also taking on a clear leadership role
- You are flexible and willing to work in two rotating shifts
- You have strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- You have a keen eye for quality, safety and hygiene
- You speak Dutch fluently; knowledge of French is an advantage
- You have a sense of responsibility and actively contribute ideas for improvements
- You can make your own way to Ninove
A degree is less important than your experience, motivation and ability to bring people and processes together in a thoughtful way.
Organisation

- meal vouchers
- 6 extra days’ holiday on top of statutory leave, without collective closure
- a team of enthusiastic colleagues who share their knowledge and encourage professional development
- an employer committed to sustainability, the environment and social responsibility
