Operations coordinator
Function
As operations coordinator, you will perform the following tasks:
- You will support the operations and terminal management team in their daily tasks;
- You will mainly be responsible for carrying out administrative tasks and operational follow-up related to the work carried out by DFDS Ferry department;
- Registration of tasks performed on the terminal;
- Preparation and distribution of work lists;
- Records in KPI files, shared documents with customers and computer systems;
- Handling freight documents (CMR - CIM);
- Process incoming and outgoing goods flows administratively;
- Communication with Management, Port operators, Port workers, Logistics Partners and Customers;
- Prepare claim forms and complete claims administratively;
- Drafting and modifying work instructions and SOPs;
- Actively address and resolve problems that arise - Develop and implement improvement proposals;
- Administrative processing of orders and repairs to equipment, machinery or infrastructure;
- Conduct workplace inspections on the shop floor;
- Receiving and checking goods at the counter at the terminal.
Profile
As an operations coordinator, you have the following qualities and/or attributes:
- Can you communicate fluently and have a great deal of problem-solving ability?
- Being able to work independently as well as teamwork is in your DNA?
- You are open-minded and eager to learn? Training on the job is possible!
- You draw your plan with a PC and have a basic knowledge of the MS Office package?
- Are you precise and an administrative jack-of-all-trades?
- Working shifts (day, early, late and night shifts), weekends and public holidays does not scare you, but rather you see the team spirit in it?
- You have your own car to travel to the port?
- Our Belgian weather conditions can you handle as you work mostly outdoors?
- Do you treat safety within your working environment with the utmost care and attention?
- You like the idea of working in an international context?
- You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English?
