Ocean Pricing Specialist

Function

As an Ocean Freight Pricing Specialist at our client, an international logistics provider based in Antwerp, you will assume a crucial role in managing and optimising ocean freight rates. You will actively engage in market analysis, pricing strategies and accurate rate documentation, while supporting both the commercial teams and operational processes. You will work in a dynamic environment where your expertise contributes directly to customer satisfaction and business results.

Your tasks:

• Management of ocean freight rates and landside handling.
• Provide support to the commercial strategy from the sea freight product.
• Analysing market information and communicating best price relationships within the organisation.
• Maintain and update the operational system related to pricing.
• Providing feedback in RFQs and tenders.
• Preparing quotes for clients and the internal DGF network.
• Monitor, evaluate and discuss agreements with suppliers.
• Manage data to provide visibility to stakeholders, including customers, sales and customer service.

Profile

Your profile:

• You have at least a bachelor's or master's degree in forwarding or similar experience.
• You can work independently, orderly and organised.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• A creative and commercial attitude.
• Good command of Dutch, English and French, both oral and written.
• Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and with a focus on Excel.
• You have at least 5 years' experience in sea freight.
• You are stress resistant and flexible.
• Knowledge of CargoWise 1 is a plus.
• You have a keen eye for accuracy and an affinity with numbers.
