Night shift team leader

Function

As a team leader, you play a key role within the production environment, where teamwork, quality and continuous improvement are central. You will also be responsible for the following tasks:

• You manage a team of 30 operators on a daily basis and know how to motivate them to give their best;
• You monitor performance and support the operators where necessary;
• You will hold discussions regarding performance, absenteeism and any areas for improvement;
• You organise and manage your team’s leave planning;
• You will ensure that all procedures, work instructions and quality standards are correctly followed;
• You ensure that information is passed on to the line teams and the morning shift in a clear and structured manner;
• You will coordinate operational challenges, escalate issues where necessary and communicate clearly about actions and expectations;
• You will support new staff members during their induction and closely monitor their training programme.

Profile

Are you the team leader in the night What are we looking for?

• You have strong people management skills and have at least 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role;
• You are a problem-solver, work independently and make decisions quickly;
• You have strong administrative skills and are proficient in Excel and Word;
• You have an excellent knowledge of the Dutch and a basic knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
• You remain calm under pressure, keep a clear overview and communicate clearly and decisively;
• You are willing to work a fixed night shift;
• You are flexible, hold a Category B driving licence and can travel independently to the Kortrijk area.
