Mechanical Designer / Draughtsman

Function

As Mechanical Designer/Draughtsman, you will be part of the engineering department and collaborate on innovative mechanical installations within infrastructure and hydraulic engineering projects.

You will design and draw, among other things:

• mechanical systems for movable bridges, locks and dams;
• screw pumps and hydropower applications;
• water treatment and sludge processing plants.

You start from a 3D model and, after approval, develop this further into detailed 2D assembly drawings, parts drawings and execution drawings for production and assembly. After delivery, you incorporate any changes in as-built drawings.

You will also work closely with project engineers and fellow designers to further optimise technical solutions.

Profile

• You have a technical education at Bachelor's or Master's level.
• You have a strong interest in mechanics and larger engineering projects.
• You think analytically and have a conceptual and solution-oriented mindset.
• You have an affinity for steel structures, mechanical machining and assembly processes.
• You work accurately and monitor the quality of your drawing work.
• You are a real team player who enjoys working together within multidisciplinary projects.
