Manager Project Department

Function

As Manager Project Department, you will be the driving heart of the East Flanders office.

This position is crucial to the success and profitability of our projects, where you will manage a team of 17 motivated employees, including project managers, site supervisors and fitters.

• Your focus is on increasing efficiency and financial results, optimising internal processes as well as supervising the execution phases of major projects.
• About 30% of your time will be involved in the operational follow-up of projects, while the remaining 70% will be spent on strategic management and reporting to the COO.
• You will also take responsibility for staff evaluations, planning and weekly consultations, while motivating and inspiring team members to achieve top results.

Profile

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in managing technical and/or construction-related teams.
• Experience in project-based working, including budget management, yield optimisation and personnel planning.
• Excellent management and people skills; leadership experience is more important than technical expertise.
• Affinity and practical experience with technical projects in the construction industry.
• A flexible and stress-resistant attitude; “hands-on” when needed.
• Skill in communication with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Fluent computer skills.
• Willingness to be present daily at the Stekene site.
• Very good command of the Dutch language.

Organisation

This company specialises within ventilation technologies, targeting the tertiary market and also the residential market through building promoters. They offer energy-efficient and efficient ventilation solutions for both residential and non-residential projects. Besides installation, they also provide maintenance and after-service of ventilation systems to ensure optimum air quality and system operation. They currently employ around 120 people, for the project department in East Flanders, they are currently looking for a manager project department to manage the team of 17 project managers, site managers and mechanics.
