Maintenance Technician Day shift
Function
As a maintenance technician, the employee is responsible for the preventive and curative maintenance of the machinery, with a strong focus on mechanical work. He/She ensures that injection moulding machines continue to run reliably and that production downtimes are kept to a minimum.
Tasks
- Carrying out preventive maintenance on machines and installations
- Detecting mechanical wear and replacing parts
- Analysing malfunctions and solving mechanical problems
- Inspection and maintenance of hydraulic components
- Timely detection of leaks, defects and anomalies
- Correct registration and follow-up of maintenance work
- Collaborating with colleagues and external technicians
Profile
The ideal candidate will primarily have strong mechanical knowledge and experience, including:
- bearings, guides, drives, pumps and mechanical overhauls;
- dismantling, repairing and readjusting mechanical parts of injection moulding machines.
In addition, he/she has sufficient knowledge of industrial electricity and hydraulics to independently analyse faults and carry out basic repairs:
- Be able to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams and use them in fault analysis;
- Be able to safely measure voltage, current and resistance;
- be able to identify and solve simple electrical problems, such as faulty sensors, cable breaks, relays and motor protections;
- Have hands-on experience with hydraulic systems such as cylinders, valves, pumps and pressure and flow settings;
- be able to locate and help solve leaks and pressure problems.
For more complex or purely electrical breakdowns, the maintenance technician works with colleagues specialising in electricity and hydraulics.
